MegaTech Projects Looking Back: South Hampstead 5 Years on

In January 2015 MegaTech Projects Ltd (MPL) began works at South Hampstead station in the London borough of Camden. Following a retaining wall heaving in 2013 the majority of the platform had remained closed for up to 2 years. MPL and James Murphy and Sons Ltd were brought in to bring the non-operational section of platform back into use.

This turned out to be undoubtedly the most labour and programme intensive project MPL have undertook to date. Getting a maximum of 2 hours working per night with all excavation works having to be carried out by hand, MPL completed the installation of the Expanded Polystyrene System (EPS) section in April 2015.

After 5 years MPL returned to South Hampstead and were delighted to see that the EPS extension still looks as great as the day installation was complete.
