Uckfield Station Platform Extension

BAM Nuttall Ltd have the Framework Contract to extend the platforms on the Uckfield Line.

MegaTech Projects Ltd was awarded the contract to extend Uckfield Station Platform by 60m. The Environmental Agency had confirmed that Uckfield Station had a history of flooding. Therefore, MPL had to adjust the Network Rail standard design to accommodate the potential for flooding.

These measures included a different screed, intermittent EPS blocks and Platipus anchors.

The works were completed in April 2016.
