Formed in September 1991 as a de-merger of the North Wales design team from a National Consultancy.
The Hastings office opened shortly after in October 1993 and since its formation has worked on residential, educational, commercial and industrial projects.
The combined skills within the practice cover the range of services expected from a modern consultancy and our design team are able to support Clients throughout all the stages of a project from feasibility to negotiation of final accounts.
Despite the recent recessions the Company has seen a steady increase in our work within the Industrial sector, the maintenance and protection of historic buildings and the Rail Sector.
Adams is an approved RISQS supplier of design services within the Rail Industry and acts as design partners on behalf of a number of Contractors both within and outside various framework agreements. Our projects include new mainline stations at Hastings and Dartford; a new Boots Store on platforms 11 & 12 at Waterloo Station; Station upgrades and remodelling schemes such as Southampton central station and numerous platform and canopy refurbishment projects across the South and South East of the Country.
Following our initial involvement with MegaTech on their demonstration project at Sanderstead in 2010. Subsequently we were responsible for the design of a number of platform lengthening schemes at Peterborough, on stations on the East Coast main line, South Hampstead and Strood.

Director and Regional Office Manager at Hastings covering the South East, South, South West, East Anglia and The Midlands. Responsibility for all Civil & Structural Engineering Design carried out within the office together with Client liaison; Contract administration; scheduling and costing. Experience includes a wide range of new build and refurbishment projects, project management, Planning Supervisor & CDM Co-ordinator and within the Railway Sector CRE & CEM appointments.
I have been appointed CRE on our recent projects which include platform lengthening works on behalf of MegaTech Projects on a number of stations on the East Coast mainline along with Peterborough, South Hampstead and Strood (Kent).
Current projects with Megatech Projects include three platforms for a new station at Chesterton to serve Cambridge Science Park; platform extensions at Uckfield, Crowborough, Eridge and Ulceby with a completely new station at New Holland.
