This month, we were delighted to attend the first-ever MetroLink events in both Dublin and London. It was great to see the plans and vision of MetroLink in order to majorly improve public transport in and around Dublin, with plans to cut travel time from the airport to the city centre from one hour and 20 minutes to just 20 minutes.
The proposed new high-capacity/frequency metro line aims to transport up to 20,000 passengers per hour, spanning across 19km in the heart of Dublin with 16 stations. Trains are likely to arrive every 3 minutes and 90 seconds during peak times.
It was great to meet many of the MetroLink team and friends working over in Ireland, discussing the benefits of the MegaTech EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) System and how this could align with MetroLink’s vision of providing a quicker, carbon-friendly and safe Metro in Dublin.
