The Lichties the Pride of Arbroath

MegaTech Projects would like to give a huge congratulations to Arbroath FC following the conclusion of the Scottish championship, what must go down as one of the most successful seasons in the clubs 142 year history.

When Arbroath were promoted to the Scottish championship, manager Dick Campbell put it best when he said “Saturday’s fitba’ day. Let’s have a go next year. If you go doon, you go doon. If you don’t it’ll be down to good organisation and good effort from everybody at the club.” It was Arbroath’s fighting spirit and organisation which saw them charge to the Scottish league 1 title in the 2018/19 season so their ‘leave it all on the pitch’ attitude was never going to be questioned, regardless of division and quality of opposition. However, no one could have predicted how well the club would have fared in Scotland’s second highest league.

Arbroath finished 5th in the division claiming the crowns of QOTS, Partick Thistle and Inverness Caledonian Thistle along the way. Arbroath even defeated eventual league champions and local rivals Dundee Utd, 1-0, in what would be Utd’s only home defeat of the entire campaign.

When MPL became Arbroath’s main sponsor 6 years ago we could never have imagined the journey we would get to share with the club. With the MegaTech logo firmly across their chest Arbroath won 2 league titles in the 16/17 & 18/19 seasons before their success in the 19/20 season. MPL’s sponsorship of the club has been extended into the 2020/21 season where we hope to witness the club make even more great memories for the fans.

Congratulations to Dick, Mike and the rest of the club who will no doubt be looking forward to mixing it again with some of the big boys in the Scottish game next season.
