Crowborough Station Platform Extensions

BAM Nuttall Ltd have the Framework Contract to extend the platforms on the Uckfield Line.

MegaTech Projects Ltd was awarded the contract to extend both Crowborough Station platforms by 90m. Platform 1 extension at Crowborough had to fit around and accommodate an existing transmitter mast and building that could not be re-located.

This involved detailed surveys and designs to insure the prefabricated EPS and slabs fitted around the building and mast whilst still complying with Network Rail's minimum platform width requirements.

Detailed Co-ordinated design by Adams Consulting Engineers and Tony Gee Partnership insured that the installation of the MegaTech system ran smoothly and the platform extension's were completed in April 2016.
