Meridian Water

3nr 200m long x 2.8m wide Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Platform system installed in the heart of London in just over 125 working hours. MegaTech Projects Ltd (MPL) working alongside Volker Fitzpatrick (VFL) achieved this at the new Meridian Water Station in May 2018.

Following Contract Award in March 2018 MPL had all materials fabricated and to site for a May install. Meridian Water gave MPL another opportunity to demonstrate the adaptability of the EPS system. With 2nr elevator shafts and accompanying overbridge landing in the centre of 2 out of 3 platforms a collision protection zone (CPZ) had to be accommodated for. The EPS blocks adjoined this section with the pre-cast slabs carrying on through it to maintain a uniform surface finish on the platforms.

Following the opening of Meridian Water Tottenham Hotspur also opened their brand-new stadium just along the road, keep an eye out for our EPS platforms spurs fans!
