Pre-cast tactiles
Whilst some Train Operating Company's (TOC's), Designers and Main Contractors prefer to use the Viztek style tactiles, it is increasingly more common for MegaTech Projects to precast the tactiles into the slabs. Since carrying this out at our first site at Kingham station with Dyer and Butler for Great Western Railway (GWR) in October 2018 every platform installation undertaken by MegaTech Projects has incorporated the built in/Pre-cast tactiles.

This has been a very beneficial development of the MegaTech EPS system as it greatly reduces possession works and eradicates a weather dependent element of platform installation, all the while providing an aesthetically pleasing and reliable tactile.
